Try new arty things, learn new skills, build your knowledge.
Hi and Welcome to Skills and Knowledge
As a self-taught artist, experimenting with art has been a huge part of my learning journey so I wanted to share my learning with you as I pick up new skills, engage with new materials and build my own art knowledge.
I’ve learned that just by taking part, having a go and being here, I am an artist. I am creative. I can do it. (You may want to read more about my philosophy)
There are lots of different techniques on offer from working with acrylics and texture paste, palette knife painting, paint pens in artworks, using oil pastels, squeegee art and much more.
Here is short video about varnishing a vibrant artwork.
In these videos you can find what has worked and what hasn’t and how I’ve overcome challenges when creating artworks.
Full, free tutorial series are also included such as Create a forest after a fire painting in acrylics tutorial. In 4 parts you’ll learn, step-by-step how to create a captivating forest scene with a limited colour palette, brush and palette knife. From composition and design to finished product.
Click on the image below to go to a 15 second clip from one of these videos.
I also show you how you can finish off your artworks and exhibit your pieces or simply hang them in your home.
